Detailed description
Chicago Highlands Golf Club is a Private 18-hole golf course located in Westchester, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.

Chicago Highlands Golf Club opened in 2010. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.

Chicago Highlands Golf Club in the Chicago suburb of Westchester, was built atop an old landfill capped by 20 feet of soil, enough to allow sculpting the land into a faux links layout. It has a number of clever, unusual holes, the best being the 344-yard ninth, intended to be a reachable par 4 from all six tees. It's shaped like a volcano, up a steady rise from the tee to a hilltop green surrounded by slopes of tightly mowed turf. Blow it left, right, short or over the green, and the ball could roll 60 yards down. It's a giant chocolate drop of a hole, a pyramid of grass, the Mt Vesuvius of golf. Every hole is unique and full of rolling terrain only 270 acres can offer. All the par 3's are special. There are two reachable par 4's, but they are offset by a pair of really brutal 4's. Hole # 15 measure 505yards from the tees that are "one up". That is a lot of golf!

The par 72 championship golf course plays over 7,500 yards from the Championship tees. It's obvious when you look at the layout of the Club that golf is the priority here with no homesites on the entire property. The private feeling and pristine golf topography gives way to sweeping skyline views across 270 acres dedicated to golf and fun.
