Detailed description

Wichita Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Wichita, Kansas.

Wichita Country Club was founded in 1900 by a group of golf enthusiasts. WCC's first golf course was a 9-hole course in the area of what is now College Hill Park. The Club relocated to what is now MacDonald's Golf Course in 1913 and then moved to its current location at 13th Street and Rock Road in 1950.

The golf tradition of Wichita Country Club is its Par-71, 18-hole, 6,814 yard William H. Diddel-designed golf course, which has been on prominent display at its present location at 13th and Rock Road since 1950. The course rating is 73.8 and the slope rating is 133.

With its lush fairways and tranquil ponds and streams, the challenging 6,814-yard course is consistently touted by many as one of Wichita's best. The Wichita Country Club golf facility also has a full driving range, putting greens, and a golf shop.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,814 yards. From the forward tees, the course plays to 5,390 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 546 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 173 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 2, a 413 yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Wichita Country Club is # 11, the 173 yard par-3.
